Each year, the ASG holds a general election for all elected officer positions--President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of San Elijo, Vice President of the Community Learning Center and Student Trustee--changes to the ASG constitution, and refereendum questions. Student Activities Office
The ASG Executive Council may fill any open officer position, with the exception of the Student Trustee and Chair of the ICC. Qualified students: students maintaining a cumulative 2.0 minimum GPA, taking at least 5 units (except summer semester), and free of all official college academic and disciplinary restrictions--can apply for ASG office.

How to Apply
Qualified students: students maintaining a cumulative 2.0 minimum GPA, taking at least 5 units (except summer semester), and free of all official college academic and disciplinary restrictions--can apply for ASG office.
To apply, fill out an application and submit hard copy, signed applications to the Oceanside or San Elijo Student Activities Office, or via email to Jim Gonzales.

Where do I submit my application?
Applicants can submit hard copy applications to the Oceanside or San Elijo Student Activities Office or via email to ASG Advisor Jim Gonzales at JGonzales@miracosta.edu.
How can I submit the form?
Complete the application and save the file as a PDF with your last name as the title. Once you’ve saved the file, attach it to an email and send it to ASG Advisor Jim Gonzalesat JGonzales@miracosta.edu.
What happens after I submit my application?
Once an ASG Advisor has received your application, he or she will ensure that you meet the minimum qualifications to be a student leader—maintain a cumulative 2.0 minimum GPA, hold at least 5 units (except summer semester), and be free of all official college academic and disciplinary restrictions. If you meet the minimum qualifications, the advisor will forward your application to the chair of the ASG Appointed Committee who will contact you to schedule an interview.
*Delays may occur when the current ASG officers are transitioning out of their positions at the end of the academic year.
