A Note About |
For most students, online English courses are more challenging than traditional, onground classes. This is true primarily because online courses require more reading and writing than onground English courses. This makes sense if you think about it. All of the speaking teachers and students would normally do in a classroom verbally has to be done in writing in an online class. In English classes, which already have lots of reading and writing, this extra burden of communicating through the written word online can be especially difficult.
If you are a disciplined, independent learner who loves to read and is comfortable communicating in writing and over the phone with your teacher, then an online class could be a great option for you. But if you are signing up for this course simply because this is the only way you could fit English into your schedule, I urge you to carefully read this syllabus. Choosing an online course for convenience only can be a serious mistake.
