Job Training Programs

TA Funding through the military

  • The following three programs were TA approved: Facility Maintenance Technician, Scuba Dive Master (this program requires a pre-screening by MiraCosta Community Service staff), and Certified Armed Protection Specialist. TA funding for our programs (issued by Camp Pendleton) has been suspended until further notice.
  • These programs are TA approved through the Navy. If you are able to get these or any additional programs approved, please contact Christine at 760.795.6822 to enroll or if you have questions. Please note that if you apply for a program that costs more than the alloted TA distribution, you will have to use "Top Up." Please contact your Education Officer to discuss the ramifications to your GI Bill.
  • To get funded, please go to the Education Center. If you haven't taken the College 101 course, you must complete it in order to qualify for tuition assistance. Complete the Tuition Assistance Application (this requires approval from your commanding officer). Once the Education Office has approved you and provided you with an authorization form, please fax (760.795.6826) or stop by our office with your Authorization form. We will enroll you at that time - we will need your name, address, phone number, email, social security number, and birthday to complete enrollment.
