Elementary Algebra

Designed to prepare students for intermediate algebra, this course teaches simplifying algebraic expressions involving polynomials and rational terms; factoring; solving linear equations; solving quadratic and rational equations using factoring; analyzing graphs of linear equations; and solving applied problems.

Instructor notes: This 16-week hybrid class requires students to use a computer with reliable internet service to access online learning materials. Students meet on Wednesdays in room OC3508 from 11:20AM-1:05PM for in-class activities, lectures and tests. To be officially enrolled in this class, you must first add it in SURF. Also, you must register in CourseCompass (MyMathLab), and begin submitting assignments by the first day of class Monday August 20, 2012. Additional information about my past classes can be found at You will be watching web movies and using these movies to complete the course lecture notes, all of which are posted on my website. Please check my website after August 13th for the syllabi, schedule, and other information for my fall 2012 classes.
