Microsoft Word for Business

Students learn how to use Microsoft Word, the industry-standard tool for word processing in business environments. This comprehensive course includes fundamentals, such as document design, section breaks, table of contents, graphics, columns, citations, and tables, as well as more advanced features, such as document collaboration, workgroup tools, template customization, mail merge, macros, object linking, forms, security, and Web enabling. This course helps prepare students for the Microsoft Certification Exam.

Instructor notes: This late-start class is a comprehensive course covering skills and features of Microsoft Word 2013. It is conducted 100% over the Internet, using Blackboard and e-mail. Students will receive an email from me 1-2 weeks before class begins, that will provide important information about how to login, what to expect, how to get started, etc. I will send all emails to students using their email addresses listed in SURF. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me now at: I keep tight communication with all students throughout the semester. This class helps fulfill requirements for several different degrees and certificates. You'll need the textbook, and you'll also be using an online training software, as well as Word 2013 itself.
