Animal Diversity

This life sciences course challenges students to think critically and demonstrate hypothetico-deductive reasoning within basic biological concepts, such as evolution, ecology, behavior, physiology, and development, while focusing on diversity within the animal kingdom. This course is intended for non-science majors. UC CREDIT LIMITATION: Credit for BIO 100, BIO 101, BIO 103, or BIO 105.

Instructor notes: This course is run entirely through Blackboard (there are no on-campus obligations). Once you sign on to the Blackboard system and select "Bio 103", you'll have access to the course materials. The class is opened a few days prior to the start of each semester (so you won't "see" it until then). I will send out a welcome email when it's opened that will provide you with further instructions. Students will be required to post a self-intro on the class Discussion board by the 2nd day of class as a means of "checking in" and confirming their spot on the roster.
