Transfer Success

MiraCosta College students at commencement

Students who plan to transfer to a four-year university get on the right track through TAG, IGETC, UniversityLink, and other transfer programs. MiraCosta College also has one of the highest transfer rates to the University of California out of all of the community colleges in San Diego County. Our students also typically earn higher GPA's than non-transfer students. Learn more about the transfer process here.

History

1934 as Oceanside-Carlsbad Junior College, the second community college in San Diego County. The college moved to the current Barnard Drive location in 1964 and changed its name to MiraCosta College shortly thereafter. Learn more about the history of the college.
