A verification of enrollment certifies that the student is attending MiraCosta during a period of time. Verifications reflect whether or not a student is attending full time, half-time or less than half-time. Degree verifications indicate graduation and certificate information including date and major.
STUDENTS may request verifications through the Admissions and Records Office. Enrollment verifications may only be processed after the class has begun. Verifications may take 3-5 working days to process.
The college has contracted with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide online degree verifications to employers and background screening firms. There is a fee for this service. If a student has restricted access to Directory Information, the Clearinghouse will require certification that a signed release has been received by the requestor.
