What Is Title IX?

Title IX is a federal law that prohibits gender discrimination on college campuses.

"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal educational assistance...”


Title IX Training: Campus SaVE Act: Student Upstanders

MiraCosta College is committed to student success and providing a safe and healthy campus environment. In an effort to keep yourself and our entire community safe, all students are required to complete a training module titled Campus SaVE Act: Student Upstanders on an annual basis. The Student Upstanders training is a series of video modules about how you can prevent and respond to interpersonal violence, including sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
