TB Skin Testing for Tuberculosis Screening
TB Clearance
- In order to get a TB clearance you must get a TB skin test or a referral for a chest x-ray if you have had a positive TB skin test in the past.
- TB skin test requires 2 visits.
- The first visit is to administer the test.
- The second visit is 48 to 72 hours later to read the results.

- In Health Services
- Oceanside Campus- Room 3326
- San Elijo Campus – Room 922
Testing Times
- Oceanside Campus
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8 am to 4:00 pm
- Thursday 8 am- 7 pm No Testing.
- Second visit will be 48 to 72 hours after your first visit.
- San Elijo Campus
- Monday and Tuesday 9 am to 2:30 pm. Closed on Fridays.
- Second visit will be 48 to 72 hours after your first visit.
- No testing the last week of each semester.
Chest X-ray referrals
- If you have had a positive skin test you can get a chest x-ray referral during office hours.
Cost
- TB skin test $5.00.
- This charge is waived for MCC employees, student workers and MCC volunteers.
