If you suspect a message may be phish or generally malicious, you can now click to Report Phish from any Outlook app
In a continuing effort to help improve MiraCosta's ability to easily deal with the constant influx of spam, phishing, and other email based attacks, ITS provides a "Report Phish" button to all Office 365 users. This button automatically appears in your Outlook ribbon. You can quickly report suspected phishing emails by selecting / highlighting the email and clicking the "Report Phish" button in your Outlook client. ITS will be alerted and the message will be moved to your junk folder.
***The "Report Phish" functionality is available for Windows/MacOS/iOS/Android/Web flavors of Outlook.
Report Phish Button in Outlook for Windows
Highlight / select the message you wish to report and click the "Report Phish" button on the far right of the ribbon on the home tab. You will receive a confirmation and the message will be moved to your deleted items folder.

Highlight / select the message you wish to report and click the "Report Phish" button on the far right of the ribbon on the home tab. You will receive a confirmation and the message will be moved to your deleted items folder.
Report Phish Button in Outlook in a Web Browser
Right click the message you wish to report and select "Phishing."

Open the message then click the three dots in the upper right of the message (the same 3 dots you would click to reply to or forward the message) . Click "Report Phish." You will receive a confirmation and the message will be moved to your deleted items folder.

With the message that you wish to report open, select the three dots in the upper right of the message (the same 3 dots you would click to reply to or forward the message) and select the "Report Phish" button. You will receive a confirmation and the message will be moved to your deleted items folder.

What types of emails should I report?
You should report any email that seems suspicious - phishing emails are trying to
gain access to our entire network to destroy it, your login credentials, install malware
on your computer or mobile device, or trick you out of money. If you are not sure
if a a message is legitimate, use the Report Phish button to report it!
What happened to the email that I reported?
When you report a suspected phishing email using the PhishAlarm button in Outlook,
it is moved to your "deleted items" folder. If the email is later deemed to be legitimate,
you can access it there to move it back to your inbox.
The PhishAlarm button is missing from my email client! Help!
The PhishAlarm button will only appear on Microsoft Outlook applications. At this
time it is not available on other email clients such as Apple Mail, or native mail
applications on iOS and Android devices.
Can I report SPAM or other unwanted emails?

Why am I getting a popup when I report an email?
The PhishAlarm button is configured to give a confirmation popup after you report
an email. Some emails may give a different notification than others.
