What Is Title IX?
Title IX is a federal law that prohibits gender discrimination on college campuses.
Title IX: Student Training
MiraCosta College is committed to student success and providing a safe and healthy
campus environment. In an effort to keep yourself and our entire community safe, all
students are required to complete a training module titled "Sexual Assault Prevention
for Community Colleges." This training module focuses on issues that we all need to
be aware of so we can take action to help create a safe and welcoming community.
This training will provide you with information on how you can prevent and respond
to interpersonal violence, including sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence
and stalking. You will also learn about bystander intervention, what it means, when
and how it should be applied, and some of the challenges you may encounter when it
comes to stepping up and taking action, or intervening on behalf of your peers. For
more information, please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
MIST - Employees
This training is focused on employee obligations for reporting, the prohibited conduct for employees and students under Title IX, how to report, resources and the applicable policies. For information on how to complete the training please use this link.
