Pre-enrollment is required for both classroom Drivers Education and the Behind-the-Wheel Drivers Training program. You must enroll online for the online driver education classes. To register for in-person Driver Education please visit our website commed.miracosta.edu Please call 760.795.6825 or 760.795.6820 for information. If you are registering for Behind-the-Wheel Training only, you must call 760.231.1221 or 858.883.2843 or click to pay and get driving dates. You are welcome to register over the phone with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card or register on-line (classes only), or come in person (by appointment only) to the Drivers Education Office on the Oceanside Campus 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside, CA 92056- Building T510 (Parking lot 5A) or to the Technology Career Institute, 2075 Las Palmas Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92011.
Refund Policies
- Behind-the-Wheel Drivers Training: If a student needs to cancel, reschedule or is a “no show” for their Behind-the-Wheel Training dates, a $30 rescheduling fee will be charged unless notice is received to our office staff three business days prior to their first driving date.
- Classroom Drivers Education: Refunds will be made three business days prior to the first class session. If you do not call to cancel three business days ahead of time, you will need to re-pay the $100 classroom fee to re-register for the next Drivers Education class. A processing fee of $15 will be charged for all refunds. Students cannot miss their first Drivers Education class.
- Students must complete the Behind-the-Wheel Drivers Training program phase of the program within one year of completing a Classroom Drivers Education session.
