Sabbatical Leave Reports - Spring 2025 Deadline

For faculty returning to full service in Spring 2025, SL reports are due the 4th Friday of instruction. This spring, the deadline is Thursday, February 13, 2025 (the 4th Friday is the President's weekend holiday).

Sabbatical Leave Applications - Deadline (For Academic Year 2026-2027)

The FALL 2025 Sabbatical Leave APPLICATION Deadline for requesting a sabbatical leave during Academic Year 2026-2027 is the 5th Friday of instruction - Friday, September 19, 2025.

Functions of the SLC

Act as resource to faculty in preparation of proposals and reports

mentor/advise faculty in the preparation of their proposals
provide workshops as needed to assist faculty in the preparation of proposals and reports

Review applications for sabbatical leave

determine the feasibility of the proposed activity
assess the contribution of the activity to the growth of the individual and to the district
ensure that the proposed hours or study units meet the minimum required
forward recommendations to Senate Council for action
review requests for modifications of sabbatical leaves, and advise the President

Review sabbatical leave reports

verify that activities were completed as approved (or as modified)
assist in editing reports as necessary to improve clarity
forward recommendations to Senate Council for action

Review Sabbatical Leave Handbook

maintain a manual of application and report procedures on sabbatical leaves
review and revise procedures outlined in the sabbatical leave handbook

Any suggested changes to the contents of the handbook should be submitted to the Administrative Assistant of the Sabbatical Leave Committee by February 15 of any given year in order to be considered for inclusion for the following academic year.

Meeting Dates / Agendas

Meetings will occur in person and via Zoom. The room will be announced with the agenda.
Zoom links will be provided on the agenda no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting.
