Credit Student Eligibility
At least one of the following must be true to meet Student Eligibility requirements:
- Enrolled in 6 UNITS or more
- Enrolled in a local program that increases employability (LPIE), such as:
- Academic Success & Equity Programs (State-funded programs): Umoja, Puente, MANA, Transitions, SPHERE s at MiraCosta College
- Providing parent control over a dependent:
- Age 6 years old or in between age 6 and 12 with no adequate childcare OR single parent of a dependent age 12 years old or younger.
OR
Must meet at least of the following College Student Exemptions:
- Student works in a paid position for at least 20 hours a week or 80 hours a month
- Receives Cal Grant A or B
Non-Credit Student Eligibility
Non-Credit students are eligible for CalFresh, but when applying, one must select not a college student. For more information please contact us.
