Spring 2023 Genentech Biotechnology/Biomanufacturing Scholarship

- Students must demonstrate financial need.
- Qualified candidates must be students currently enrolled in a Biotechnology certificate or degree at MiraCosta College.
Spring 2023 Scholarships - Open February 1, 2023
Transfer Scholarships
This common application is for students plan to transfer fall 2023.
- Students must be transfering to a four-year institution fall 2023 and show proof of enrollment.
- Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA or higher.
Azizi Refugee Scholarship
The Azizi Refugee Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has escaped conflict in their home country (refugee and/or asylum seeker). Priority given to students involved in 'AMEMSA+ (Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim and South Asian) organizations on campus
- Must be currently enrolled at MiraCosta College.
- Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA or higher.
Brother Benno Foundation EOPS Scholarship *Closes February 28, 2023
This application is for students who wish to apply for the Spring 2023 Brother Benno Foundation EOPS Scholarship
- Must be active EOPS student for Spring 2023.
Friends of Dance
The Friends of Dance support students who are involved in promoting the dance program and have participated in dance activities at MiraCosta College.
- Must be majoring in Dance, double majoring in dance, or pursuing a Dance Certificate program.
- Must have completed six or more units in Dance at MiraCosta College with a 2.5 or greater GPA, and demonstrate financial need.
- Students must be currently enrolled at MiraCosta College in 6 units or more that includes a dance class.
MiraCosta UPRISE GANAS Scholarship
This application is for students who wish to apply for MCC GANAS Scholarship.
- MiraCosta students who are AB540 students or mixed status students.
- MiraCosta students who participate in UPRISE Program.
Native American and Alaskan Native (NDN) Intertribal Collective Scholarship
The NDN Intertribal Collective Scholarship supports students within the Native Community.
- MiraCosta students enrolled in Spring 2023.
- Consideration will be given to students who have participated in advocacy within the Native Community, extracurricular (club involvement & leadership, or have other lived experiences as a historically underserved student.
Safaralian Math Scholarship
This merit-based scholarship celebrates involvement in STEM at MiraCosta.
- Must have received a B or higher in all college level math courses
- Must have completed two or more college level math courses at MiraCosta College
- Must be a STEM major
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Rare Disease Scholarship
The scholarship is intended for students diagnosed with and impacted by any rare genetic disorder. The scholarship is also open to students who have a close family member diagnosed with any rare genetic disorder and who are impacted as a result of their family member's condition.
- MiraCosta students enrolled in Spring 2023.
- Personally impacted or have someone in their family affected by Neurofibromatosis (NF2) or a rare disease.
RAFFY Scholarships for Former Foster Youth
Students wishing to apply to the RAFFY Scholarship, Bob Wilson Scholarship For Former Foster, and Beckman-Matsui Family Scholarship For Former Foster Youth may complete the RAFFY Common Scholarship application.
- MiraCosta students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher who are enrolled in at least 6 units for the spring semester at MiraCosta.
- Students must be former Foster Youth participating in the RAFFY* program.
- Must have completed 6 units or more at MiraCosta College with a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher.
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at MiraCosta College.
- Have financial need.
Service Learning Scholarships
Cal Cast Credit Union
A Service Learning scholarship for students involved with student leadership activities on campus and/or at a nonprofit or K-12 educational facility.
- Must have completed 12 or more units at MiraCosta College with a 3.0 or greater Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Must be currently enrolled in nine (9) or more units at MiraCosta College.
- Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Completed 25 hours of volunteer/service (hours must be documented through the MiraCosta Service Learning & Volunteer Center.*
Wilkinson Scholarship
This application is for students who wish to apply for the Wilkinson Community Service Scholarship.
- Must have completed six units or more at MiraCosta College with a GPA of 2.0 or greater.

Must have completed a minimum of 15 hours of volunteer service or service learning at a nonprofit organization or K-12 school that conforms to MiraCosta Service Learning standards.
Service activities must be performed while the student is enrolled at MiraCosta College, and service hours must be documented through the MiraCosta Service Learning and Volunteer Center). Student must upload their current Service Learning/Volunteer timecard into the application.
Non-Credit Scholarships
CLC ESL Scholarship
Scholarship application for Non-Credit Students only. The MiraCosta Foundation provides assistance to deserving noncredit English as a Second Language students who plan to continue their education at MiraCosta College.
Scholarships are available for both full-time and part-time students. Students must show proof of enrollment in the Fall 2023 semester to receive scholarship funds.
CLC High School/GED/HSET Scholarship
Scholarship application for Non-Credit Students only. The MCC Foundation provides assistance to deserving noncredit Adult High School, High School Equivalency (HSE), and Adult Basic Education students who plan to continue their education at MiraCosta College.
Scholarships are available for both full-time and part-time students. Students must show proof of enrollment in the Fall 2023 semester to receive scholarship funds.
