Permanent Classified Professionals (not in probationary status) may serve on classified senate subcommittees (governance and working conditions) and district governance and advisory committees. Additionally, classified professionals may be appointed to task forces, and other ad-hoc committees as necessary.
Appointments are made by the Classified Senate President annually as needed to fill vacancies, then subsequently ratified by the Classified Senate Committee. Senators and Leadership Program graduates will be appointed to governance, senate subcommittee or working condition committees first, then any remaining classified vacancies shall be open for at-large appointments. All classified professionals wishing to serve and be appointed to any committee(s), must submit a Committee Interest Application in order to be considered. Applications will be accepted until vacancies are filled.
Here are the current Classified committee appointments.
Fill out this Classified Committee Interest Application if you would like to serve on a committee.
