CARE Free Food & Resource Market (Formerly Known As Farmer's Market)
In addition to the campus Food Pantry, MiraCosta College offers a free bi-monthly food distribution. This is a campus-wide collaboration with the San Diego Food Bank and Feeding San Diego to provide access to FREE produce and dry goods. To access this service, students need their Spartan Pass (student ID card) or SURF ID number.
The food distributions for Spring 2025 semester will generally be as follows: 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Oceanside Campus from 1:00pm-2:00pm and the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Community Learning Center from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Changes to dates may apply due to holidays or finals week. Rescheduling and cancellation of events will be announced on Instagram. Please check our website one week before the start of each semester to get the updated food distribution schedule.
Resources Available During the CARE Free Food & Resource Market
Additionally, there will be campus resources and local community organizations to
provide information about basic needs support during the food distributions. The community
partners onsite will provide information about health services, childcare resources,
public assistance benefits, career services, financial aid and more! If you're intrested

Diapers Available For Student Parents
Currently enrolled MiraCosta students may receive up 2 free packs of 25 diapers per
child during the food distributions (based on availability) while supplies last. Sizes
0-6 are typically available however invventory changes depending on availability
from our partner, the San Diego Food Bank. Please reference our flyer for more information about the new diaper distributions.

The San Diego Food Bank and Feeding San Diego provide a wide variety of food resources and local food distributions in a community near you. Food resources include programs like a client choice pantry, emergency food assistance, congregate meals, and more.
