We strongly recommend finding a TEAS test prep and taking a full TEAS practice test prior to attending. This can help show areas of weakness where you can ask more specific questions during our sessions. Without taking this in advance, you may not know where you need to focus your preparation!
After the workshops are completed, take another sample test to make sure you've got those gaps filled in. We will do our best to help as much as possible. There are many resources that have multiple TEAS practice tests: ATI, Barrons, and Trivium are 3 types of review books with sample tests.
You can join the zoom session with this link. Netiquette rules apply and sessions may be recorded to help those who may be cut off during a session.
NOTE: We've changed one requirement about the zoom environment. There will be a waiting room when you enter, and we're asking everyone to change their name to include: full first and last name, as well as their school in parenthesis. Example: "Scott Fallstrom (MiraCosta College)". This will allow us to track usage, gauge effectiveness, and may allow us to continue funding the program.
For those who miss one of our sessions or have technical issues, we will display the links to a recording of the sessions until 2 weeks after the final session.
Recordings are for Workshop participants and for reference only! They are not to be used in any way other than described here.
Recordings will be posted on the Monday following each Session.
Who puts on the sessions?
The sessions are put on by MiraCosta College's experienced tutors and current nursing
students.
Do I need to attend all the sessions?
No, attend the ones you can. It's better to attend so you can ask questions and get
the answers you need. Links for sessions that were recorded will be available for
up to two weeks after the program ends.
Do I need to be a MiraCosta student to attend?
No, you don't need to be enrolled at MiraCosta College to attend. These are open to
anyone looking to improve through TEAS Prep.
Do all sessions cover the same material?
No, each date reviews a different portion of the exam.
Do I need to buy a study or review anual?
No, a study manual is optional. There are many choices for your TEAS prep manual to
review; please find one that meets your learning style. Two good resources are the
ATI Review Manual and the ATI Secrets Study Guide.
Who can I contact for any issues or more information?
The MiraCosta College point of contact is Carl Banks, Learning Coach with the STEM
Learning Centers (STEMLC). Contact the STEMLC email directly (STEMLC@miracosta.edu) and he will respond.
