Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a non-remedial learning approach that helps students succeed by combining "what to learn" with "how to learn." SI involves regular, out-of-class group study sessions led by SI Leaders—students who have mastered the course material. These leaders attend lectures, take notes, and guide group sessions to help peers better understand the material, develop study strategies, and prepare for exams. SI is a free, voluntary service targeting challenging courses, not individual students, ensuring no remedial stigma is attached. Students of all academic levels and backgrounds are encouraged to participate.
