What worked well? Professor Herrick is truly an exceptional teacher who goes way above
and beyond to support, encourage, and instruct her students. I am where I am today
in no small measure because of her investment.
How have you used skills? Yes, I just landed a full-time job utilizing the skills
I learned from her.

What worked well? I have learned some features I had not used before. It’s so great
to be able to get updated on this program. I love the class and Mrs. Daya Nimar has
made it easy to achieve that.
How have you used skills? Yes, I have been working on some translations for a public
office. It’s been useful.

What worked well? Daya Nimar walks us through the process step by step. She is extremely
thorough and a great asset as a teacher. She cares, is kind, and very patient. I have
found her teachings and what I have learned very invaluable.
How have you used skills? Yes, I have found what I learned very helpful in the day
to day operations. It gives me more confidence and makes me more comfortable using
"Microsoft Word" program and the capabilities is offers.

What worked well? Daya is the best part of this class. She is an expert in MS, but
also so patient with her students. She is an excellent teacher.
How have you used skills? Absolutely. This Word class has truly helped me in the workplace.
I only wish we had been in person on classroom computers. I prefer the human interaction.
But Daya made the virtual happen! Thank you!

What worked well? Teacher answer any questions I have, she does very patient to make
me understand very good, so me classes they just on the program and schedule. But
this class is every day useful and need to know questions to study ❤️I love and learn
each classes.
How have you used skills? Use as most is IPhone , and my laptops and my work, everything
nowadays, fingerprints to login, time off sheet to use PDF all the everything doctor
appointments reviewed. Just need as now classes!

What worked well? The teacher was great, she welcomed questions, and gave us a lot
of resources in downloadable handouts. Student questions helped other students learn.
Zoom worked well. The only time it was a problem is when students would not mute their
microphones and have background noise, such as other household members walking into
the room and talking. The teacher would give a warning, and then mute the student.
This was my first online class. I would take more online classes, but I'd rather take
classes in person so the teacher can more easily see what we are doing wrong when
we get stuck and for the personal contact. I had challenges in the beginning with
my Mac desktop computer with an old version of Excel. There were no school laptops
available for me to borrow. I had to do the work at my job using my work computer.
Being in person in a class would have been much easier for all of us who have Macs.
How have you used skills? I learned many little beginning Excel functions I didn't
know existed that make it easier to move around in simple Excel spreadsheet templates
that I use at work for data entry in daily and monthly reporting. I took the class
to assist me in finding a new job as an Administrative Assistant.

What worked well? Jane is the BEST TEACHER! I took her Intermediate PowerPoint class
before Intermediate Excel and she has equal enthusiasm for both subjects. She is available
for questions and her 3 hour Zoom class on Saturdays is always fun and I always learn
something new.
How have you used skills? I have already used the Excel skills from this class in
temp work that I'm doing while looking for a full time job. The temp job was entirely
Excel based and I was getting paid to use the skills I had learned in class.

What worked well? I think Jane does a good job explaining the concepts and insuring
a general knowledge of the topic prior to moving to the next subject.
How have you used skills? I have not applied the new skills in my professional life.
I took the class to develop a deeper understanding of excel for my personal satisfaction

What worked well? Well, the teacher Mercedes is an excellent instructor. She puts
her best effort to teach the class giving all the necessary material for us to learn,
including videos and is always ready to answer our questions, even if it is not within
her working hours. With her I have learned from the basic to intermediate of excel.
I did not even know how to turn on a computer and now I know how to do even a document
and more. All the material that she gave to us it was very helpful. God bless her.
How have you used skills? Yes, I use this skills to communicate with my boss and with
my family by the computer. I really appreciate it. I'm very thankful to my instructor
Mercedes.

What worked well? Jane is really thorough in covering what is important. My laptop
microphone isn't working so I use the chat. Jane is terrific in paying attention to
chat and answers questions . Two thumbs up !
How have you used skills? I have a personal use for setting up accounts. I have forgotten
so much and this class is helping A LOT. I am using it also to look at a business
start up. I plan to take the next level. I hope its with Jane.

What worked well? Jane made sure to leave no student behind in her explanations. She
was able to attend to individual needs without sacrificing the forward momentum of
course learning for all.
How have you used skills? I plan to use these skills to see how much an electric car
would cost me with different financing and prices.

What worked well? The teacher was great, she welcomed questions, gave us a lot of
resources in downloadable handouts, provided downloadable recordings of classes for
us to watch again to review and practice, and challenged our brains. Student questions
helped other students learn. The teacher had us work on building a formula in groups
in "break-out rooms" in Zoom. That was a lot of fun. She also invited students to
volunteer to build formulas during class. Zoom worked very well. The only time it
was a problem is when students would not mute their microphones and have background
noise. The teacher would give a warning, and then mute the student. This was my second
online class, the first one was Beginning Excel. I would take more online classes,
but I'd rather take classes in person so the teacher can more easily see what we are
doing wrong when we get stuck and for the personal contact. I had a lot of challenges
in the beginning with my Mac desktop computer with an old version of Excel, Other
students with Macs had the same problems. The teacher arranged for me to use VMWare
on my Mac and also for me to borrow a laptop from the school.
How have you used skills? I haven't yet. I took the class to assist me in finding
a new job working as an administrative assistant. I don't have the need for using
charts, pivot tables or formulas at my current employment.

What worked well? This class was very informative, Ms Strong is up to date in teaching
new techniques, and find ways to help us understand if our computers are older not
up to date.
How have you used skills? Yes I have, I’m writing my genealogy with other family members
and this class has open ways to make it easier. In my church I’m a volunteer working
with girls 12-18 year old and this class has also help me when I have to teach a class
and other activities.

What worked well? I had a good experience taking this computer class. Mercedes Strong
is an exceptional teacher. She encouraged me to continue in this class and I really
appreciate it, because at first I was indecisive about taking an online computer class.
Now I can say that I learned a lot in this class and I enjoyed it.
How have you used skills? I have used the skills I've learned in this class by organizing
my work in other classes that I'm taking. For example, now I know how to create new
folders and new files along other skills.

What worked well? I learned a lot from this class and appreciate all the work our
instructor, Mercedes Strong, did to provide information that was easy to understand
and keep for the future.
We could download these instructions and keep for our references. Whenever I have
taken computer classed unless you used everything a lot you would forget how to do
it. But with her worksheets it is easy to go back to this information and not get
frustrated. Also the recorded Zoom sessions were a great reference in doing the homework.
It would be great to have access to that information in the future too. I had computer
experience so it was easy to understand the directions. But for this class some computer
knowledge I think is necessary for a student to progress with the various tasks.
How have you used skills? I am on the computer daily and work with other groups of
people that need to use the internet and different devices to get on the internet.
I use the information to explain how to do tasks for people who are not so versed
in computers, iPhones, and laptops.

What worked well? I gained so much knowledge that is very valuable and important in
today's digital environment. I learned a lot about internet security, identifying
risks, and how to protect our personal data, updating browsers, and so much more.
I would highly recommend additional classes of this nature. Daya is a great teacher
