MiraCosta CARE
MiraCosta College embraces a holistic and seamless approach to student learning and success by addressing basic needs. It is the Campus Assessment, Resources, and Education (CARE) goal to support our students as they face personal and academic barriers, which may hinder their ability to achieve their educational goals. As you know, we have a very diverse student body who benefit from a myriad of support services. Through our programs and services, we will demonstrate that we are committed to their success by creating a culture of care and support. Visit the MiraCosta Cares website for more information.
Bias Incident Reporting
This type of behavior should never be part of the MiraCosta College experience. As a community that deeply values and respects diversity, equity, and inclusion, we want to address the issue and provide you with resources that you may need.
MiraCosta College is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students, employees, and community members. We take all such incidents seriously and will respond appropriately to reported or observed incidents of bias or hate.
More information about this can be found on the Bias Education Support Team website.
Title IX & Discrimination
Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. Under Title IX, schools must ensure that all students have equal access to education, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Sexual harassment and sexual violence are forms of gender discrimination that are prohibited by Title IX, including when the incident(s) occur off-campus or involve people who are not students.
