Welcome to Veterans Counseling
During the COVID-19 crisis, MiraCosta College is currently operating on a remote basis and the buildings, including Counseling Services, are not accessible in person at this time. Through the links below, our staff can connect you with our veterans counselors through Zoom video appointments (preferred method) and via traditional phone calls. We are committed to serving veterans and their dependents who are new to college or returning to continue their education.

This is the busy period and appointments can fill up fast, so we have a couple of options for speaking with a counselor.
Currently Enrolled Students, Try This First
If there are no appointments available, then click below to get on our Express Counseling Sessions which are same day, “first-come, first-served" sessions with a counselor.
For new students or to sign up for our Express Counseling Sessions (or if appointments are fully booked):
If you see that our staff are assisting students, please be patient as they finish up; they will assist you as soon as they become available. Please note: The chat feature is compatible with Chrome and Firefox browsers only.
The enrollment periods are the busiest times for Counseling Services and appointments can fill up fast, so we offer same day, "first-come, first-served" sessions with a counselor; when you have time in your schedule, connect with our front staff through the live chat link and ask to be put on the Express Sessions list. Be sure to identify yourself as a veteran or military affiliated student so we can connect you to the proper counselor. Our veterans counselors will reach out to you by phone that day, but be advised that the list can fill up fast, so the earlier in the day you contact us for an Express Session, the better. Students sign up by either connecting with our front staff through "Online Express Chat" or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

New VMA Student Workshops
Counseling Services and the Military and Veterans Services Center are pleased to announce an online Zoom workshop aimed at VMA students new to MiraCosta. These sessions are limited to 10 participants and you can self-register online, by contacting our front staff through our online live chat feature, the Military and Veterans Services staff, or email OnlineAdvisor@miracosta.edu.
