About El Centro
El Centro is an academic success center that focuses on addressing historic disproportionate impact or inequities Miracosta Latine students confront. We address those challenges by utilizing culturally affirming evidence based practices such as serving as the bridge that connects students to on campus resources, offering intentionally culturally relevant programing, professional development opportunities, and cultivating a campus culture that welcomes and celebrates Latines students’ culture in and outside the classroom. We do this to increase degree enrollment, goal completion, and transfer of Latine students.
