Meet the 2023 ICC Chair for the 2023-24 Academic Year!
Michaela Garcia (she/her/ella)
I would like to further my leadership skills with the ICC further by becoming ICC Chair. I plan to get a greater understanding of the Chair process by continuing to serve my term as Vice-Chair, as well as improve my skill in conversational negotiation with students when it comes to funding requests. I love MiraCosta and all the efforts and work put in by our student clubs and organization, and would love to serve in order to help them succeed further. Due to my frequent time spend on campus, I would love to have students come to me in regards to questions about the ICC process, clubs, and how to submit funding requests (nothing regarding the agenda topics of course!) I have served as an ICC Representative since I started at MiraCosta in Fall 2022, and only stopped after being appointed to ICC Vice-Chair. I try to be frequently involved in communities on campus, and further increase my involvement with students by serving as part of Student Life and Leadership.

The Inter-Club Council (ICC)
All club members have a voice through the Inter-Club Council (ICC), to which each club sends a representative. Club members must be currently enrolled students, and identified lead students and ICC representatives must maintain a 2.0 GPA (grade point average) and be enrolled in three credit units or its non-credit equivalent. ICC works to develop effective, organized, and fair policies so all clubs will thrive.
ICC also sponsors a "Club Rush" each semester, which gives interested students an opportunity to learn about the various clubs on campus and allows clubs to increase their membership. Learn more about clubs and engage in your Spartan Experience. Email icc@miracosta.edu for general guidance and assistance on student clubs and organizations.

The ICC Full Council voted to approve these 2022-23 ICC Goals for the year.
The ICC Full Council voted to approve the following 2022-23 ICC Meeting Schedule. ICC meetings occur on Wednesdays from 3-4 pm while school is in session, alternating between Leadership Council and Full Council meetings. Meetings primarily occur on the Oceanside campus; however, the Full Council does meet at the Community Learning Center and San Elijo campuses to support students. For the latest meeting event information, please visit Engage: ICC for event details and meeting agendas and minutes.
Please note: Meetings for the fall 2022 semester are held in person and via Zoom. Spring 2023 meetings will be held only in-person.
Please refer to the MiraCosta College Student Organization Handbook for a comprehensive guide on club organization and participation in the ICC Full Council.
Please use the Club Funding Request form to submit requests to utilize your club funds. If you have questions about this process or need your club balance, please email your ICC Advisor at amcruz@miracosta.edu.
The ICC Funding Request form is also open for all students, clubs, organizations, or other entities to submit a request for funding. The ICC uses a rubric to assess each funding request. Please review the rubric before you submit your request by visiting: ICC Funding Rubric.
